John Galliano has launched a new fragrance for 2010, Parlez-Moi d'Amour.
The new scent is aimed for a younger audience than his previous perfumes and has recruited Taylor Momsen as the face (the racoon-eyed, blonde wisp for GG and lead singer of The Pretty Reckless). Galliano has created a story around the perfume, it "tells of a young rock star who, after many gigs and concerts, finds herself lost in Berlin. Internet and other conveniences of modern age are not available, and she is forced to express her feelings on a piece of paper, writing a letter to a guy she just fell in love with. The top notes of the perfume are the smells that hit you first. These are Bergamot, Blueberry and Ginger, which give off a fruity smell.
The heart of the perfume is what is prominent when the scent dries. These are Rose and Jasmine, both of which are associated with a romantic feel.
The base notes are the smell that stays with you through the day, that lingering-lasting smell. They are Patchouli, Cypress and Musk.
Galliano says about his fragrance, “Taylor really embodies the spirit and soul of this new eau de toilette, which is aimed at a slightly younger market [than the signature John Galliano scent]. But you know, as with all true loves, age is not an issue.”
Priced at £49 for the 80ml and available exclusively in Harrods until Spring, then will be available in stores nationwide.
